为确保在外务工人员返乡及本地旅客顺利出行，襄阳机场结合目前市场形势与往年春运客流数据，积极与航空公司沟通协调，增加运力保障春运高峰期的旅客出行需求。春运期间，襄阳机场在现有航班基础上，深圳航空、南方航空、厦门航空、东海航空计划投放广州、深圳、福州方向434架次的加班运力。2023年春运40天，襄阳机场将与全国32个城市直达连线，计划2100多架次，运力投放市场。

今年，民航春运客流将以务工、探亲、旅游和学生客流为主，并高度叠加。机场方面预计，节前进港高峰将出现在1月14日至1月20日（腊月二十三至腊月二十九日），返乡客流将助推机场客流开始持续走高。此外，不少市民将会利用春节黄金周假期，选择错峰出游，1月21日至1月25日（除夕至初四）机场将会迎来第二波小高峰，热门航线主要有广州、深圳、三亚、哈尔滨、成都、杭州、昆明、厦门等。自1月26日（初五）开始将迎来节后出港返程高峰，特别是襄阳至北京、上海、广州、深圳、成都等地出港航班，客流将会呈爆发式增长。春运期间预计日均航班量超过50架次，日高峰将达到6000人次。
